1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at 42publishing.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make from us. The Site is owned and operated by 42Publishing.
By browsing the Site, creating an account, or buying a Product, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About 42Publishing
42Publishing (ABN 80 655 824 455) is an Australian fulfilment publisher operated by David Bunney. We handle the production, delivery and customer support for books, courses and related digital and physical resources created by independent authors and content creators, including David Bunney and Sheridan-Leigh (MyLifestyle.au).

3. Definitions
- "We", "us", "our", "42Publishing" means 42Publishing (ABN 80 655 824 455).
- "You", "your" means the person using the Site or buying a Product.
- "Products" means any book, eBook, online course, template or other digital or physical item offered for sale on the Site.
- "Affiliate" means a person or business registered to promote our Products for commission, governed separately by our Affiliate Terms and Conditions.
4. Eligibility and Children
The Site is intended for use by adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to make a purchase. Some of our books (for example, How to Teach Your Kids AI) are written for children to read with a parent or guardian, but the Site itself is not directed at children, and any purchase must be made by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
5. Using This Website
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, our systems, or another user's account;
- copy, scrape, or republish content from the Site without our written permission;
- use the Site to transmit malware, spam, or unlawful content; or
- interfere with the proper working of the Site.
All content on the Site — text, graphics, logos, cover art and design — is owned by 42Publishing or our authors and is protected by copyright. See clause 12 (Intellectual Property).
6. Products We Sell
We sell digital downloads (eBooks and similar files, delivered instantly), an online self-paced course, and a small range of physical books. Product descriptions, formats and pricing are set out on each Product's page.
7. Pricing, Payment and Taxes
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise, and may change without notice (this won't affect an order already placed). Payments are processed securely by Stripe and/or PayPal. We do not see or store your full card details. Depending on where you're located, your purchase may be subject to local taxes (for example GST or VAT), which may be calculated and added at checkout by our payment provider.
8. Digital Products — Instant Delivery and Your Right to Cancel
Digital Products are delivered electronically, instantly after payment is confirmed. Because of this:
- Australian customers: nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see clause 17).
- Customers in the EU, EEA and UK: consumer law normally gives you a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. By choosing to download or access a digital Product immediately after payment, you expressly request that delivery begin straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose this right to withdraw once download or access has started, in line with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and equivalent UK legislation.
- This does not affect any right you may have under our Refund Policy or under any consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded in your country of residence.
9. Online Course Access
Course access is personal to you and is for your own learning use. We aim to keep course content available indefinitely, but we may update, improve, or in limited circumstances discontinue a course, and will give reasonable notice where practical. We may suspend or close an account that is shared, resold, or used in breach of these Terms.
10. Refunds
Our refund terms are set out in full in our Refund Policy. In short: digital Products (eBooks, downloads, online courses) are non-refundable once delivered, and physical Products carry a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Nothing in our Refund Policy limits any consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded by law in your country of residence.
11. Licence to Use What You Buy
When you buy a digital Product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own private use. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly share, or use it for commercial training or republication purposes without our written permission. Ownership and copyright remain with 42Publishing and/or the relevant author.
12. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, book titles, cover designs and written content on the Site belong to 42Publishing or our authors, unless otherwise credited. You may not use our name, branding or content to imply endorsement, or reproduce it elsewhere, without our prior written consent.
13. Affiliate Program
If you join our affiliate program, your relationship with us is also governed by our Affiliate Terms and Conditions. Where we recommend third-party products as Amazon Associates, our Amazon Associate Disclosure applies.
14. Advertising, Analytics and Cookies
We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense to understand how the Site is used and to support it through advertising. These services may use cookies and similar technology to collect data about your visit, which may be used to show more relevant ads on this and other sites. If you're in the EU, EEA or UK, you'll be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are set, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy. You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google Ads Settings or your browser's cookie settings. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
15. Links to Other Websites
The Site may link to third-party websites, including author sites, social platforms, and payment providers. We don't control these sites and aren't responsible for their content, policies or practices. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can access or correct it. 17. Your Consumer Rights
Australia
Our Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You're also entitled to have a Product repaired or replaced if it fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure doesn't amount to a major failure. Nothing in these Terms restricts, limits or modifies these rights.
Other Countries
If you're buying as a consumer from outside Australia, these Terms do not affect any statutory consumer protection rights you have under the mandatory law of your own country of residence, to the extent those rights cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
18. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Site and our Products are provided "as is." To the maximum extent the law allows, and subject to the consumer guarantees in clause 17, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, and our liability to you is limited to resupplying the Product or refunding the price paid, at our choice. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or our Products.
19. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify 42Publishing against any claim, loss or expense arising from your misuse of the Site, breach of these Terms, or infringement of a third party's rights.
20. Force Majeure
We won't be liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of our hosting, payment, or course-delivery providers.
21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Western Australia, Australia. You and 42Publishing both submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia. This does not remove any right you have to bring a claim in your own country under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot be excluded (see clause 17).
22. Resolving a Dispute
If a problem comes up, please contact us first at mail@42publishing.com so we can try to sort it out directly. We aim to respond within one business day.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
24. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Affiliate Terms and Conditions, make up the entire agreement between you and 42Publishing regarding use of the Site.
